The sale of 3,000-plus pieces of furniture, equipment and other items in the shuttered Franklin County Veterans Memorial should yield more than $25,000 after an auction this week.
Gryphon USA auction house President Rich Kruse told me the leftovers from the 300 W. Broad St. facility’s 59 years of service as a tribute to veterans, and an auditorium and trade show venue attracted 180 online bidders, plus or minus. Auction lots included carriages of numerous folding chairs and tables and other collections.
